Humpback whales – Hawaii Part 8

It was our last full day in Maui, and there was one very important thing left to check off the list.  At this time of year, humpback whales migrate from Alaska and surround the Hawaiian islands.  We simply couldn’t come all this way (further than the whales!) and not go on a whale watch.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) there were no close encounters, but we did have a mum and baby whale circle our boat a few times.

And with that, the end of the photos from our Hawaiian adventure!  I have a few more images I’ve put together as GIFs (you gotta see those waves moving!), and only about 6000 hours of video to look through…

Hawaii, we’ll be back!  A hui hou kākou
