Apparently in New Zealand, Dia de los Muertos has overtaken Halloween in popularity. Surely this is because Dia de los Muertos is a much more colourful celebration – and a lot less morbid! So, over the weekend we had Mexican tamales, atole and pan de muerto. And to top off the weekend, on Sunday, I went to see the Aztec exhibit at Te Papa – a thoroughly Mexican fiesta!
