Privacy Policy
Pixeleyes Limited recognises the importance of your privacy. We are committed to protecting personal information we hold and to complying with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can ask for access or correction.
Who we are
This policy applies to Pixeleyes Limited, our websites at pixeleyes.co.nz, and our macOS apps.

What we collect and why
We only collect personal information we need for the following purposes:
- Website analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our websites (for example pages viewed, approximate location derived by Google, device/browser type, and similar usage statistics). This helps us improve the site.
- Contact and support: If you use a contact form or email us, we receive the details you provide (typically your email address, name if you include it, and the content of your message). We use that information only to respond to and fulfil your request.
- App licensing: Our apps do not send personal information to us. Purchasing and activation are handled by Apple (Mac App Store) or Paddle as merchant of record. After a purchase, we have access to licence and purchaser details from Apple or Paddle (such as email address and licence information). We may keep those records on encrypted devices for licence administration and support.
We do not operate user accounts or mailing lists on our websites. Payments are handled by Apple or Paddle, not by us directly.
Apple, Paddle, and other service providers
- Apple and Paddle are the merchants of record for app purchases. They may collect name, address, and business details for tax, invoicing, and payment processing under their own privacy policies. We do not control that collection.
- Google processes Google Analytics data.
- Our email provider stores email we send and receive, including support correspondence.
We do not sell personal information.
Crash reporting
Our apps do not send crash data to Pixeleyes. Where crash reporting occurs, it is through Apple’s anonymised systems (subject to the user’s device and Apple settings).
How we use and disclose information
We use personal information only for the purposes above, or where otherwise permitted under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (for example where required by law, or to prevent or lessen a serious threat to health or safety).
We do not share personal information with others except where needed to operate our services as described (such as Google Analytics, our email provider, Apple, or Paddle), where you have authorised it, or where required or authorised by law.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. Licence records we hold are stored on encrypted devices. Access is limited to people who need it for support or business operations.
Support emails are held by our email provider. Analytics data is held by Google under its terms.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above (for example while you hold a licence and may need support, or while a support conversation remains relevant), or as required by law. When it is no longer required, we take steps to securely delete or destroy it.
Access and correction
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you may ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if you think it is wrong. Contact us via the contact form. We aim to respond as soon as practicable, and within the timeframes in the Act (generally no later than 20 working days, unless an extension applies).
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Privacy Commissioner.
Overseas processing
Some of our service providers (including Google, Apple, and Paddle) are based outside New Zealand and may store or process personal information overseas. We only use these providers where needed for our websites, apps, analytics, or purchases, and we do so in line with our obligations under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when we do. Please check this page for the current version.
